Chloe star opens up about her social media ‘allergy’ | Television & Radio | Showbiz and television

Chloe arrives on BBC One and Amazon Prime Video this weekend, February 6, and the series consists of six episodes. Chloe (played by Poppy Gilbert) has a seemingly perfect life until she eventually dies. Actor Billy Howle, who plays Elliot Fairbourne in the series, expressed his views on social media.

Chloe’s enchanted life has long attracted Becky Green (Erin Doherty).

She has a doting husband and a very successful circle of friends.

Becky’s life is completely different as she cares for her mother, who has dementia praecox, in their seaside flat in Bristol.

After Chloe’s death, Becky infiltrates her circle of friends to find out what happened to her.

Elliot Fairbourne is Chloe’s husband on the show and he has some insecurities.

Still, the actor said he believes social media “is subject to some form of manipulation.”

He explained, “And that’s the part that makes me a little uncomfortable. Because I know we do this in our real social lives anyway.

“We have to put on masks to attend social events, and even the people we perceive to be the most confident often have to work really hard.

“It’s like a swimming duck, what you can’t see is what’s under the water.

“You don’t see his legs going frantically like that [gestures legs moving]all we see is this graceful bird floating on this still water.

“It’s important to peek behind the veil and get to know the real person, not their Instagram version.”

Chloe airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on February 6 at 9 p.m. The series will stream on Prime Video in the United States.
