Kate Middleton’s brother posed with his cocker spaniel, most likely Ella, on Wednesday, ending his “unintentional social detox.” The sudden Instagram post comes just weeks after he married Alizée Thevenet on September 12.
The post read, “I was so immersed in the embrace and fun of the first few months with my new wife that I realized I had unwittingly been in social rehab… which I guess didn’t. is not a bad thing… ”he captioned the break.
“BUT we’re back – hope you don’t mind.”
He continued, “I highly recommend doing a social media rehab every now and then – in fact, I believe the saying is log out in order to reconnect.
“Over the past few months many of you have reached out to me… and thank you for consulting me, it means a lot.”
Fans of the Duchess’s brother have praised James for taking his social media hiatus.
One account, using the ketcheel handle, commented: “Good for you !!! Social media breaks are essential to keep sanity, otherwise it’s too much noise. Glad you took this free time but also happy for having you and your adorable two legged / four legged family back. “
“I’m happy for you that you got to enjoy the time with your wife, but I’m also happy that you are back,” added royalfamily2018.
A third user, maureentarek, said: “I also have to take #socialdetox! Welcome baaaaack!”
Mr Middleton, a well-known dog lover, revealed to Hello that his dogs Ella and Mabel were the couple’s “flower girls” and welcomed wedding guests.
He said: “It was wonderful to finally celebrate with family and friends despite the challenges of a global pandemic, but we were relaxed and knew the day would come eventually.”
He posted a photo of the beaming couple with one of their photobombing dogs in the background.
In September, James wrote on Instagram: “Mr & Mrs Middleton.
“Yesterday I married the love of my life surrounded by my family, friends and of course a few dogs in the beautiful village of Bormes-les-Mimosas.
“Words cannot describe how happy I am.”
