Prince Harry and Elton John are leading a group of celebrities who are suing the Daily Mail publisher.

Prince Harry and Elton John lead a group of celebrities who are suing the publisher of the Daily Mail newspaper over allegations of wiretapping and ‘gross breaches of privacy’.

They accuse the publications of “unlawful acts: including hiring private investigators to covertly place listening devices in the cars and homes of people and individuals to surreptitiously listen to and record private live phone calls from people, Hello Magazine reported.

Other charges include impersonating individuals to obtain medical information from private hospitals, clinics and treatment centers by deception, accessing bank accounts, credit history and transactions financial resources through illicit means and manipulations.

The other members of the group are actress Elizabeth Hurley and Sadie Frost, Elton John’s partner and filmmaker David Furnish, and Doreen Lawrence, the mother of black teenager Stephen Lawrence, who was murdered in 1993.

Associated Newspapers, the publisher behind the Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday and the Mail Online, did not comment

Variety reported that the lawsuit will be the third that Prince Harry has brought against the Associated Newspapers in as many years.
