Defense Headquarters (DHQ) said on Thursday that troops from Operation HADIN KAI in the northeast and Operation HADARIN DAJI in the northwest had killed 85 Boko-Haram / ISWAP terrorists and 293 bandits in various military offensives over the past month.

The military also said more than 90 terrorists and bandits, including their collaborators and logistics providers, were arrested during the various operations.

Director of Defense Media Operations (DMO) Brig. Gen. Explaining how the successes recorded in the North West were achieved, Onyeuko said: “In Operation HADARIN DAJI, troops during the period intensified their offensive operations on the bandit enclaves in the North West area. .

“During the reporting period, a total of 240 armed bandits were neutralized, 125 assorted weapons, including AK-47 and FN rifles and Danish cannons, as well as 1,166 special 7.62mm cartridges / NATO ammunition, 1,304 cattle and 54 motorcycles, among others. were recovered during the period. In addition, 47 armed bandits, informants and bandit collaborators were arrested during the period.

“In the same vein, the air component carried out aerial bombardments on criminal enclaves in different locations, including the forests of Magami and Dansadau in Zamfara state.

“Air operations have been successful in the LGAs of Danmusa, Safana and Dutsinma as well as in the villages of Gonar, Sani, Jikan and Malam in the Yantumaki forest, the Lelet village forest and the Yantumaki – Maidabino road in the ‘Katsina State.
