TV5MONDE deploys Harmonic Cloud Streaming for global expansion

SAN JOSE, CA.—Harmonic announced that French-language entertainment provider TV5Monde is delivering its channels to millions of homes through Harmonic’s VOS®360 SaaS cloud platform.

Support for the DVB-TTML (ETSI EN 303 560) subtitling standard on the VOS360 platform allows TV5MONDE to broadcast channels to the public in 14 different languages ​​while ensuring the highest level of subtitle interoperability. – titling for Latin and non-Latin alphabets, including French, French for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, English, Arabic, Russian, German, Dutch, Romanian, Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.

In addition to broadcasting directly to consumers, the VOS360 platform also delivers TV5MONDE content to affiliates around the world, expanding its reach.
