Calling all groovy pets and animal lovers! The Voorhees Animal Orphanage (VAO) prepares to bark and roll at their 26 Woofstock Festivala dog-friendly event open to the public on Saturday, September 24 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Voorhees in Voorhees Township, NJ Admission to the festival is just $2 and comes from Woofstock, the largest event VAO’s fundraiser of the year, supporting medical care, pet food and supplies for the community shelter’s dogs and cats.

The fun event will include dog demonstrations, food trucks and music. Highlights include: the VAO Alumni Parade hosted by 6ABC Action News presenter Rick Williams and led by the Hegeman String Band, animal photos, dog demonstrations, pet contests, craft, retail and pet product vendors, music from Red Sky and more. New this year is a beer garden sponsored by Tonewood Brewing.

“Each year, Woofstock helps raise awareness of VAO’s mission and helps us continue to provide medical care and to feed and house cats and dogs until we can place them in their forever homes,” said said Jennifer Bailey, Marketing Director of VAO. “With so much uncertainty and stress in the world these days, it’s comforting to know that we can still come together for a day of peace, love and pets!”
